If we’re honest, there isn’t a question too outrageous or a statement that is so bold that we haven’t heard before.

Whether we’re out and about fixing broken pipes, repairing boilers, carrying out general servicing and maintenance, we get asked a lot of questions.  So, we thought we’d pull together some of the most popular questions and our best answers below.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Yes!  All our Northwich engineers are gas safe registered and fully trained and qualified.  To check our credentials, you can visit the gas safe website and look up our number: 636566.

Do you only work in Northwich?

We’re based in Northwich, Cheshire, but because our reputation precedes us and we want to support as many customers as possible, we work in a 20-mile radius of Cheshire. Covering towns such as Kingsmead, Knutsford, Winsford, Warrington, Crewe, Macclesfield, Stockport, and Altrincham.  Please don’t worry if we haven’t mentioned your town on the list; call our friendly team to find out more.

If I have bought the parts myself, will you only charge labour?

Yes. We’re happy to work with all of our customers and fit any parts you have purchased yourself.  We can break all of our quotes and estimates down to include labour charges only, and any parts we provide will be itemised and cost out for full transparency.

How much do you usually charge for a standard repair?

Typically, most of the repair work we carry out ranges from between £50 to £100.  Of course, every job and repair is different, so it really depends; however, our engineers will assess all work and provide you with a price before any work gets underway.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Of course! We wouldn’t call ourselves professionals if we didn’t!  To rest assured, you can check out our full insurance certificate and details HERE.

Do you keep to your appointments?

If we have an unavoidable emergency, we will always contact you to let you know of our delay.  Of course, being late is never our intention, but if we do find ourselves stuck in traffic or an emergency job overrunning, we will always make contact.  We’re proud to offer a level of customer service that goes above and beyond, and we boast some amazing testimonials from our customers who comment on our reliability and timekeeping!

What is your emergency response time?

In all emergencies, we aim to be with you in 30 minutes or less.  Of course, this time can change depending on traffic and busy periods. Still, we are always at the other end of the phone, guiding you to your main water valve if you need to turn your water off asap, and providing as much support and reassurance as we can until our engineers reach you.

Do you offer any guarantees on work carried out?

Absolutely. All work carried out by Northwich Plumbers is guaranteed under our warranty for 12 months.  Any materials used will be covered by their own warranties.

What services do you provide?

We offer various services, including maintenance, repairs, and assessments for all water and gas appliances.  We can help with boiler installations, repair and servicing on gas fires, gas ovens, and hobs; we can provide landlord safety certificates, homeowner safety records, 24-hour emergency call-out number, and radiator upgrades.  What’s more, we can also help with kitchen, bathroom, and utility room fit outs and re-fits!

Do you fit new bathrooms?

Yes!  We help create the bathroom of your dreams, with great finance options also available.  We can help with new bathtubs, power showers, wet rooms, new toilets and washbasins, spa baths, towel rails, taps, mirrors, designer radiators, wall panelling, tiles, and more!

Can you provide a CP12 certificate?

Yes, after we have carried out all appropriate maintenance and servicing checks, we can provide all the correct and necessary paperwork required.

Do you repair other appliances too?

As well as fix and repair boilers, we can also help with gas cookers and fires too.   Having these appliances serviced regularly can also help to avoid any costly repairs occurring in the long run.

Do you offer monthly finance?

Yes, we have a range of finance options available and it is always worth chatting through your options with a member of our team.
